Washington (the Plebian): The President of the United States has announced support for Saudi Arabia’s new strategy to take on fake news. “I really like the strategies implemented against fake news by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.” The president said on Tuesday. “For too long institutions like the Washington Post has gotten away with murder. It’s good to see someone standing up to them.”
According to polls the comments were unlike to effect the republicans chances in upcoming elections. In a poll of likely voters taken immediately after the remarks, 70% said they ‘thought the comments were acceptable because they weren’t made by a democrat’.
